# RPG a Day 2023 - Day 17: Funniest Game You've Played tags: #thoughts/RPGaDay/2023 ![[RPGaDay2023.png]] I don't normally play in comedy games. That doesn't mean that funny things don't happen but it does mean that I don't normally set out to engage funny. In fact, but because it's so easy for things to slide into the ridiculous at the table (generally as a result of people protecting themselves emotionally), I push the other way. Except one time when I played in a convention game called *"Everybody Is Vin Diesel."* Perhaps not surprisingly, it was exactly what it said on the tin. Every player played a version of Vin Diesel, one of the roles he has played in the film over the course of his career – except one person played Vin Diesel, the actor. This doesn't sound all that impressive given how many movies that's taken something similar is a core idea – except this was 20 years ago at least. I think we even used **[[FUDGE]]** for the mechanics. Best part? I wasn't running it. I actually got to play for a change. Simply amazing.
