# RPG a Day 2023 - Day 13: Most Memorable Character Death

Actually, quite easy to remember. We were playing **[[Kingdom]]** taking as our cue – well the game title was *Fae in Space*, or what happens when you drag the land a fairy kicking and screaming into the dark future on a space station.
I was playing what in **[[Changeling]]** terms would be a knocker, the station's chief engineer and – not to put too sharp a point on it – a complete asshole.
Luckily, in **Kingdom** this is actually a good thing because introducing adversity for everyone increases the fund, increases the drama, increases the leverage that every single person at the table can bring through the agency of their character.
Things built to a pretty radical crescendo as the pirates (because there *always* pirates in space) rated the station, the chief of security was fairly ineffective, and they made off with the bulk of the agricultural products that would have fed us.
One slight problem for them, they also kidnapped my character as well.
So they had a very irritable knocker who wasn't particularly happy about where he was or who he was with, and a hold full of blue bananas.
Which we had introduced earlier in the session as an experimental crop grown by our station biologist – which was fatally toxic.
*Final shot of my character:* Sitting on the command deck of a pirate raider, smiling at the captain who believed our knocker had sold out his compatriots, toasting to his health and that of the entire crew followed by taking a big bite of a blue banana.
There are very few times you can bring a story to a close by committing both suicide and mass murder with a smile on your face. But I did.
Despite this being before the era of online RPG play being cool (because of nothing else I've always been ahead of my time), I recorded it live along with a bunch of other play but you can see this game on YouTube:
