![[The Bactrian Camel (cover).jpg]]
Some things are just too funny not to preserve for all time. I didn't know I needed to see a Bactrian camel absolutely working over a Russian guard, but here we are. Do not fuck with camels.
Hat tip to Chubby Funster for having the correct read on it, but at that point there was no way I could avoid writing it up for **[[Ironsworn]]**.

> A security guard at a Russian holiday resort camp approaches a male two-humped Bactrian camel named Vasya (who had a reputation for being entirely peaceful and gentle, particularly around children), grabs his reins, and punches the camel in the face.
>
> The guard did not survive.

> Two HD, strong attack…. yeah… you lose.

The Bactrian camel is a vicious creature in close combat, but only if attacked. Generally, it is a placid, desert-dwelling, domesticated beast of burden. Some are particularly ill-natured and will spit at you as soon as look at you, but it often takes significant ill-treatment or a real threat to incite them to violence. However, once committed, they commit totally.

> While escorting a caravan, your camels become restive and stare out at the horizon as if they can see something you can't. There's a sense of violence in the air. What is coming for you?

**Your Truth**
Bactrian camels have been used as beasts of burden for centuries. What was the earliest culture to have domesticated them? How are they generally seen within your community? Have they been brought in from outside, or have they been with you for generations?
