# I Think I Know What My Starforged Ship Will Be

I've been kicking around some ideas for starting a new **[[Ironsworn - Starforged|Starforged]]** game, integrating the cargo ideas and some of the trade stuff from **[[Ironsworn - Starforged|Sundered Isles]]**.
And it's been interacting with a few of the bits kicking around in my head from other games, in particular war games.
There's a particular idea that has been going around in many circles for a very long time, called the *[Q-ship](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q-ship)*. A Q-ship is effectively a merchant vessel which has been rigged with non-obvious weaponry and support technology for armed assault.
It's a cheater. It's the kind of thing that you send in with great consideration for the mission requirements and they absolutely need to involve no one knowing you are a terrifying nightmare until you go off in their face. Thanks to the ridiculous variety of things in my feeds, I have a real world modern example: The *MV Ocean Trader*.

The entirety of the thread is worth reading, but you get down to these two, and I think you see all the goodness available in the field. Perhaps you see some ideas forming around a central core of a design intended to simply create havoc.

My brain may be, at the moment, a little bit too much like sludge to actually put together a full breakdown of a **Starforged** ship with **Sundered Isles** add-ons to fully spec this thing out for you, but tomorrow I believe I can put myself together long enough to pull that out, probably with some story ideas or hooks that might be useful for using it in your own stories, no matter what.
Stick around. It could get weird.
