**World of Darkness: Tokyo** is the city sourcebook that takes **[[Wraith the Oblivion|Wraith: The Oblivion]]** to Japan's capital — set in the "Twilight Era" when Tokyo's Underworld is under the heel of a foreign occupation government. Written by Bruce Baugh and Mark Cenczyk, it's a crossover-heavy book in the classic World of Darkness city-sourcebook mold: who's really in charge in Tokyo, who's under siege, and who trusts whom — and whether they should — in the unending politics of the dead.
## Setting
You are **shen** — the umbrella term for all of Asia's supernatural beings — walking the shadows of Japan's greatest metropolis. The twist here is that Tokyo is a city under occupation: its **Necropolis** is run by a **Territorial Government**, a Conquest-era bureaucracy imposed by outside wraiths, staffed by tiers of Night Workers and Twilight Workers serving the occupying regime. It's a city where the dead navigate an occupied underworld, where wraiths rub shoulders (and claws, and teeth) with **Kuei-jin** — the Kindred of the East — plus hengeyokai and changelings, and where the shen of Tokyo are more concerned with the occupiers and each other than with the gaijin who clutter the streets and covet secrets that aren't theirs.
## Mechanics
It's the same **Storyteller System** d10 dice pool as the core **Wraith** game — Corpus, Pathos, Angst, Passions, Fetters, and the Arcanoi — but the book leans hard into crossover, since the "World of Darkness" in the title means the whole line can play here. Its value is the place, its occupying government, and its tangled supernatural politics rather than mechanical innovation.
