(cover).jpg|600]] Same bones, cleaner asphalt. **Win or Go Home!** is the stock-car corner of the [[Two-Hour Wargames|Two Hour Wargames]] racing family — the family's modern oval-track game, standing alongside the wasteland death-races of **Machinas** in the same Sport line. It opens with the usual complaint about "dice and mice" racing: no nosing a counter around a track square by square while the leaders pull away. Instead you're part of a **Pack** of cars that are all in contention, making real calls every turn — pass, draft, pit, or hold — and a last-place start can still end with your nose crossing the line first, if you can hang on to it. ## Setting No wasteland, no world left to save — just the oval, and winning is the only outcome worth the drive. The rules focus on **Stock Car Racing** specifically, pitched so the same system could roll out other racing sets on the family's Sport line. There's no movement-space board: the track is conjured from **Lap Cards** (twelve of them, laps running 5 to 25) and **Track Cards** — three Straightaways and three Turns — flipped at the start of each turn to say how many laps remain and where the field is running. ## Mechanics The field runs as a single **Pack**, and what matters is your position relative to the other cars rather than a spot on the track line — you might start a turn in last and end it in first, because nobody ever wanders off into a stretch where they can't win. Each turn you flip a Lap Card and a Track Card, then choose how to play it — **Pit, Pass, or Draft** — against the **Racing Tables**, with **Bonus Dice** earned from Random Events, passing, and pit stops deciding who surges ahead and who watches the field go by. Every driver works from three **Driving Skills** — **Turn**, **Straightaway**, and **Savvy** — with 9 Skill Points split between them (each running 1–6, and the highest can't sit more than two points above the lowest). Calling on a skill means rolling a **Skill Die** per point and hunting successes on the table. **Star Drivers** are run by the players; **NPDs** (Non-Player Drivers) run themselves on the game mechanics, rolling for their own skill spread. Each car keeps a **Dashboard** tracking its condition, its Bonus Dice, and its skills, and the **Pit Row** is where you gamble between a **Full Pit Stop** and the quick **Splash-and-Dash** to manage tire wear and grab dice. ## Editions - **Win or Go Home!** (2016) — the stock-car auto-racer, by Brian Weathersby & Ed Teixeira, THW Game Design. *In the library.* ## References - [Two Hour Wargames — official site](https://twohourwargames.com/) - [Win or Go Home! — The Stock Car Racing Game (Rebel Minis)](https://rebelminis.com/hwclprwinorg.html) - [Sports and Misc Games (Rebel Minis)](https://rebelminis.com/spandmiga.html)
