# Knight Frame tags: #game/rpg/knight-frame #game/rpg/starforged ![[Knight Frame (cover).jpg|600]] **Knight Frame** is a free supplement for **[[Ironsworn - Starforged|Starforged]]** by **Mikhail Agudo** and **Vincent Jarviña** (released under the itch handle Seraguith) that straps the engine into a Japanese-humanoid mech — *Gundam*, *Gurren Lagann*, and *Eureka Seven* energy — and, more interestingly, adds a proof-of-concept for fast dogfight combat between mechs, the **frame joust**. A Starforged 2022 Jam entry. ## The Frame Joust The centerpiece is a **frame joust**: high-speed combat between mechs, run through "Enter the Fray" to start and "Take Decisive Action" to finish. The twist is that you don't roll your dice as normal — you *choose which dice to roll* based on what you do, and nothing is added to the action roll except your frame's **+integrity**. The joust runs on three moves: **Maneuver** (fly, thrust, lunge, or strafe — *boom & zoom* to reroll challenge dice, *position to fire* to reroll everything), **Evade** (a defensive move — *escape* rerolls your pilot die, *dodge & tangle* rerolls the challenge dice), and **Lock On** (take aim and unleash a barrage, overwhelming the foe on a strong hit).
