# Ironsmith: Flavor Packs tags: #game/rpg/ironsmith #game/rpg/ironsworn ![[Ironsmith Flavor Packs (cover).jpg|600]] **Ironsmith: Flavor Packs** is Eric Bright's (Play Every Role) answer to the eternal hobby complaint that the game is fine but the *setting* has gone stale — a fan-made reskinning of the Ironlands for **[[Ironsworn]]**, and the fantasy sibling to his **Starsmith** line for Starforged. Where the base game gives you one grim peninsula, each Flavor Pack drags the whole thing somewhere else, mythology and all, on the theory that the Ironlands would be much better if they just weren't the Ironlands. Released under the system's CC BY 4.0 license, the original run covers five lands, each a roughly fifty-page book built on the same chassis: lore for the reskinned regions, at least ten new assets, quest starters and truths, new foes, and name oracles. ## The Five Lands - **The Firelands** — Japanese mythology, with regions like Chisana Hi, Kokuyoseki no Ha, Kyoki No Mori, and Yurei Numachi. From Ironlands to Firelands. - **The Icelands** — Norse mythology, the cold cousin that's less a reskin and more a whole different climate's worth of gloom. - **The Grasslands** — African (and Pan-African) mythology. - **The Junglelands** — South American mythology, trading the Ironlands' pines for something far less forgiving. - **The Tigerlands** — Indian/Hindu mythology. Each pack keeps the same goal Bright voices throughout his work: give you more table-ready options so Ironsworn's setting doesn't run out before your story does. Since they're all CC BY and system-stockable, they drop straight into any Ironsworn game — and the assets travel. ## Editions - **Ironsmith: Flavor Packs** (2021) — the compiled collection of the five original packs, plus individual pack and asset-card editions. *In the library.* ## References - [Ironsmith: Flavor Packs — DriveThruRPG](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/374949/Ironsmith-Flavor-Packs) - [Ironsmith — Play Every Role](https://www.playeveryrole.com/creations/ironsmith)
