*5150: Total War* is a line of sci-fi wargame rules from [[Two-Hour Wargames]] that covers ground, air, naval and space combat in a futuristic setting. The setting is known as the 5150 universe, a vast and diverse galaxy divided into nine rings and eight sectors, where different factions and races vie for power, resources and survival. The line uses a unique reaction system that simulates the fog of war and the unpredictability of combat, as well as a career and campaign system that tracks the progress and fate of the players’ characters. The line consists of four books:
- *5150: Star Army - Total War*: This book focuses on the infantry combat between different factions and races in the 5150 universe. It allows players to command squads of soldiers in various scenarios and campaigns, using a simple and fast system that can be played solo, cooperatively or head-to-head. The book includes seven faction lists, four mini-campaigns, and rules for vehicles, drones, aliens and more.
- *5150: Tanks and Mechs - Total War*: This book expands on the ground combat aspect of 5150 by adding rules for tanks and mechs. Players can command up to a company of these armored units in battles that can be integrated with Star Army or played separately. The book includes 120 color counters for tanks and mechs, five faction lists, two ways to play (traditional tabletop or battle board), and a career and campaign system.
- *5150: Star Navy - Total War*: This book covers the naval and space combat in the 5150 universe. Players can start as a ship commander and try to rise in rank as they fight in ship-to-ship or fleet-to-fleet battles. The book includes rules for ship combat, seven faction lists, four mini-campaigns, and rules for boarding actions, fighters, bombers, missiles and more.
- *5150: Fighter Command - Total War*: This book is the latest addition to the line and focuses on space fighter combat in the 5150 universe. Players can take control of fighters, bombers, gunships or transports in various missions and scenarios. The book includes rules for air combat, six faction lists, four mini-campaigns, and rules for ground targets, missiles, flak, radar and more.
The 5150: Total War line offers a comprehensive and flexible system for sci-fi wargaming that can be adapted to any scale, style or preference. The line is compatible with any miniatures or counters and can be played with or without a grid.
