It keeps the shared reaction engine and the PEF solo machinery, then hands you a mech to build weapon by weapon and a reputation to spend. ## Setting Your role in the game is largely your own choosing, and the book is up front about the dial: play a **Mech Pilot** with a single mech, a **Team Leader** with three, a **Squad Leader** with six, or — in campaign play — a **Mech Company Commander** fighting for Gaea Prime or the Hishen Empire (with the Zhuh-Zhuhs or Free Companies as a change of pace). The 5150 universe's factions all field their own iron, each with its own mech lists and pilot reputations, and the fiction is mostly the frame for what amount to armored duels and skirmishes between machines. ## Mechanics The **THW Reaction System** under the hood — **Reputation**, the **taken-versus-Rep** 2d6 roll, reaction tests, and **PEFs** running solo and same-side play the way they always do. ### The pilot A mech's worth is half its pilot. **Stars** get the advantages (Star Power, Larger Than Life, Cheating Death, Free Will) and a faction's pilot list; **Grunts** are the expendables. Each faction hands out Rep and attributes differently, and the pilot's reach extends to a personal weapon when the machine's out. ### The mech The rest is the machine: pick a **Class**, armor, and weight capacity; mount weapons (**beam**, **flamer**, **gun**, **melee**, **plasma**, **rocket launcher**) and kit like **Jump Jets** and an **Electronic Warfare System**; set speed; and mark it all on a unit record sheet. Formations and leaders string the machines into something that plays like a skirmish you can run alone, and the campaign closes the loop with missions like **Trip Wire** and **The Troll**. ## Editions - **5150: No Quarter – Mech Warfare** (2015) — the standalone mecha game, by **Ed Teixeira**. *In the library.* ## Supplements *In the library.* - **BattleTech to No Quarter Conversion** — a crossover/conversion sheet bringing BattleTech mechs into the No Quarter engine. ## References - [5150 – Two Hour Wargames](https://www.twohourwargames.com/) - [5150 – Sci-Fi Games — Rebel Minis Press](https://rebelminispress.com/collections/sci-fi-games)
