You don't get to be this age and come up through the fandoms that I have without having picked up a few unusual inclinations along the way. At a certain point, people look at you askance when you're able to recite the opening dialogue of *Urotsukidoji* in Japanese along with the show. When you can whip out a diagram for an orgone generator and cheerfully say, "Now all we need are the schoolgirls." When it's a running joke that you may have posed for the transformed figure of the Demon of Destruction, but, "I was young and I needed the money." You know what is almost impossible? To find a game that can handle that level of absolute perverted madness. Yet, that brings us to today, and I, for one, am happy about it. ![[Sweaty and Breathless (cover).jpg|400]] *[[Sweaty and Breathless]]* is based on the *Breathless* SRD along with a whole bunch of other games. It's another super light system, but is GM-full, so there's that. It doesn't really come with any setting whatsoever—just the game itself and the implications, which is more than enough. I'm not going to lie, this thing bills itself as a game for erotic roleplay. The entire core of the resolution system and character description system hinges on sex. If you're not down with this, you should probably go look at tomorrow's post, or yesterday's, or almost any other. Are they gone? Excellent. We can get down and dirty now. Let's get stuck in (pun fully intended). ## Acts of Creation Character generation is going to be fast and furious, and this time I'm going to let you insert your own pun. ### Name If I'm going to take inspiration from my favorites, we definitely have to go with something Japanese. You knew it was coming. - **Name:** Reiji Magatsu IYKYK. ### Skills Technically, this is slightly out of order, but I think it makes more sense this way. Since the entire character generation section is six paragraphs, we are in good shape. I think it's important to actually give you the list of six skills here and what they are described as because it'll get you into the right headspace. - **Brat:** resist, tease, deceive. - **Dominate:** intimidate, command, calm. - **Perv:** scout, investigate, observe. - **Restrain:** bind, overpower, incapacitate. - **Tantrum:** fight, haggle, wreck. - **Whore:** flirt, persuade, fuck. Look, this is just the way it is. If you know, you know. I don't think I've ever seen a more evocative set of skills/attributes in my life for any RPG, including *[[Dinosaur Erotica]]*. This puts its finger right on what it wants to do, makes tiny little circles, and possibly spells the alphabet to such a degree that it goes beyond simply capturing the intended mode of play. It just tells you. All the skills start at a D4 rating. We assign a D10, a D8, and a D6 to the ones we think we should be good at. Lucky for us, Reiji Magatsu is a potential host of the Demon of Destruction, but doesn't know it and could be wrong. Things can happen. He lives his life just like any other shy, retiring college student with a penchant for anime and manga, though his collection does tend toward the violent side. | Skill | Die | | -------- | :-- | | Brat | d4 | | Dominate | d10 | | Perv | d4 | | Restrain | d6 | | Tantrum | d4 | | Whore | d8 | This probably seems like a strange set of choices, but in terms of characterization, I imagine that as we go on, his Demon of Destruction aspect will become more and more prominent and is responsible for his surprisingly high Dominate and Whore skills. ### Stunt Everybody gets one Stunt, which is something they can use once between every time that they get sweaty and breathless, and is rated at a d12. I might have an idea. - **Ero-Tentacles:** From time to time, Reiji can manifest the Demon of Destruction in its full body-warping glory, with tentacles emerging to grab, restrain, and penetrate whoever might be around. Narratively, this happens outside of his control. ### Item We get one d10 item that is in our backpack, and I have to go with a surprisingly nice mini laptop loaded up with JRPGs. You know what kind. - **Item:** Laptop loaded with ero-games. ### Levelling Up That's pretty much it for mechanics. But I think it's important to point out how you actually level up your skills. When you reach a specific milestone, which is left extremely vague, in order to increase one of your skills, you need to actually do something within the fiction. There's a list. - **Make someone sexually frustrated.** Increase Brat skill. - **Degrade or praise someone to make them happy.** Increase Dominate skill. - **Peep on someone while they’re intimate, and don’t get caught.** Increase Perv skill. - **Overpower someone and force them to orgasm.** Increase Restrain skill. - **Train, getting all hot and sweaty.** Increase Tantrum skill. - **Satisfy someone like the slut you are.** Increase Whore skill. - **Become more of a masochist.** Wear more clothes and gain one more Stress. - **Daydream about dirty thoughts.** Gain one more Stunt. Look, I don't know what to tell you other than I love it when a system is designed to be exactly what it is, and it knows what it is without pretending. That's fantastic. ## Exunt That's it. You're out the door. You've got a character, and you're ready to play. Might I suggest this would be a good time to maybe spend a little time breaking out the dice in the bedroom?
